The DigiWaiter Desktop client help Main screen The client automatically receives the menu after connectiong to the server thus assuring that the menu is up to date! Expand the menu tree (A) and check the desired quantity but make sure to select the table you are serving first (B). If you want to send the order to the DigiWaiter server press the Waiter button. The 'pencil' button retrieves fresh data from the server and the 'computer' button let's you reconnect in case of a problem. 
Outstanding orders screenIf you want to see which items a table has ordered (C) press the fetch table button (with the right table selected (B)). You cannot edit already ordered items on this screen (to do this you have to communicate this 'tete a tete' to make sure things are done right!). You can send a print request to the server (A), beware the server will check if the setting 'complete pick' is checked. If this is the case the server won't let you print a table for which not all items are picked (you can deselect this at the servers option screen). After printing the server will ask you if it's ok to close the table you've just printed (usually you will close a table if the invoice is printed). 
Orderpick screen Pick items by category (A), check picked items (C) and update the database and check for new entries by clicking update (B) 
Communication screenCommunicate with the server from here (A), a chat request is accompanied by a sound signal. 
Employee screenSelect an employee from the list, employees are maintained and send by the server. 
Options screen Enter servername, port (has to be equal to the port used on the DigiWaiter server) and the table quantity. The company name will be displayed on the main screen of the Desktop client.
